Once again, Patrick Boyle of Youth Today, who did such pioneering work in exposing the abuse problem in the Boy Scouts with his book Scouts’ Honor: Sexual Abuse in America’s Most Trusted Institution, has written a very thoughtful analysis of the child abuse problem that runs through so many youth organizations. He was kind enough to mention my work in this piece.
Some years ago I wrote an article for the William Mitchell Law Review entitled, “Institutional Child Abuse: Not Just a Catholic Thing,” and I made some of the same points. Nice work, Patrick.
