We join the entire nation in offering our prayers and our thoughts to those who suffering in the wake of the terror attack at yesterday’s Boston Marathon. While we are saddened by the violence, our resolve has not wavered. The compassion and sense of community exhibited by the courageous people in Boston reflects our unity and our sense of community.
Tragically, many of those injured yesterday were children-spectators who were participating in what should have been a joyful day. In the midst of such tragedy and evil, we need to recognize the importance of speaking to all of our children thoughtfully and sensitively about these events.
