We wrote a blog post about Former Boy Scouts Leader David Kress a few weeks ago, citing allegations that he sexually assaulted the young boys to whom he was trusted.
In the meantime, WTNH News reports have come out stating that the 52 year-old Kress has threatened to commit suicide, while a Washington Post article cited numerous victims’ statements to police that Kress allegedly gave the boys alcohol and porn before raping them.
The Post goes on to say that Kress allegedly threatened the boys to keep them quiet. “One victim told police Kress warned him to keep quiet, telling him to “take this to the grave.” Another said Kress pulled out a gun and showed it to him, saying it “was for his parents if he talked.’”
Although these charges sound horrific, it is very common for survivors to be threatened into silence, even after enduring such brutal abuse.
