Benton County Sheriff’s Office arrests Oregon City man on sex abuse charges

Grey was arrested by detectives with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office in assistance with the Inter-agency Child Exploitation Prevention Team (INTERCEPT), Oregon City Police Department and the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. Grey has been booked into the Benton County Jail on $162,500 security.

Undersheriff Greg Ridler with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office said the arrest followed a month-long BCSO investigation into a report that a female minor in Corvallis was having a sexual relationship with an adult male in Benton County.

Ridler added that all of the charges stem from an incident or incidents involving the one female minor from Corvallis. But detectives from several agencies are continuing the investigation as “evidence seized indicates that there are likely to be additional victims,” according to a press release from BCSO.

“There is one victim at this time. It’s common that predators don’t limit themselves to one victim,” Undersheriff Greg Ridler said Thursday. “We’re concerned there may be others. It could be in Benton County, could be in Clackamas County.”
