MMA fighter and Portland New Breed Jiu-Jitsu Academy Owner Eben Kaneshiro Arrested on Child Sexual Abuse Charges

The owner of Southeast Portland-based New Breed Jiu-Jitsu Academy, 35 year-old Eben Eli Keiji Kaneshiro, was arrested this week for allegedly sexually abusing a 12 year-old child, according to a report by KATU investigative reporter, Hillary Lake.

Lake stated that the martial arts instructor is facing “three charges of sodomy of a child under the age of 12 during an incident that happened on April 19, 2015” in Sister, Oregon.

According to media reports, Kaneshiro is being held in the Deschutes County Jail on $500,000 bail, and has a court date set for April 27, 2015.

Kaneshiro is also a mixed martial arts competitor who fights professionally within the Next Level MMA sports organization, according to the MMA authority website, Sherdog.
