Boston-We Stand With You

Tragically, many of those injured yesterday were children-spectators who were participating in what should have been a joyful day. In the midst of such tragedy and evil, we need to recognize the importance of speaking to all of our children thoughtfully and sensitively about these events.
The pervasive influence of news websites and social media make it more difficult for parents to monitor what their children are viewing. This is especially important in the wake of the Boston Marathon tragedy as well as the Newtown shootings. While it’s important to tell your children the truth, it must be done in such a way that your child feels safe and loved. That’s why it’s important to know and monitor how your child receives such news.
