Eugene man, 21, accused of raping disabled man

A 21-year-old Eugene man is accused of raping a disabled man at the victim’s Eugene home.

Jacob Timothy Wilkerson was arrested Wednesday afternoon on charges of first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse. The rape occurred Nov. 22, police said.

According to court documents, Wilkerson allegedly forced the victim to engage in deviate sexual intercourse and touched the victim’s penis. The victim, documents show, was incapable of consenting “by reason of mental defect, mental incapacity or physical helplessness.”

According to Eugene police, the victim and Wilkerson know each other.

First-degree sexual abuse is a Measure 11 offense that carries a mandatory minimum sentence of six years and three months if convicted.

According to court records, Wilkerson was arraigned on the charges Thursday afternoon. He did not enter any pleas.

He is expected to return to court by Dec. 8 for a preliminary hearing, court documents show.

Wilkerson had a warrant out for his arrest from Washington County related to a 2014 conviction for giving false information to police. He was placed in the Lane County Jail on that charge, as well.

According to a Facebook page belonging to Wilkerson, the 21-year-old claims to work for a disability services agency called Aacres LLC, which is based in Washington state.

A message to Aacres was not immediately returned.
