Justice Determined by Geography in Sex Abuse Cases

As many readers know, civil and criminal justice is often determined by simple state lines.  This may make sense in many kinds of cases,  given that child abuse victims usually do not disclose or come to grips with the impact of their abuse for decades, well into adulthood. This article by the LA Times does a good job of fleshing out the implications of this reality.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Empowering Change

“We give victims the support they need to stand up and speak the truth to some of the largest and most revered institutions in the world. These survivors are the ones putting a stop to patterns of abuse and cover-up. They are the ones protecting the next generations. They are the heroes. I am honored to work with them”
