New Arkansas Law Gives Abuse Survivors Access to Justice
In a breaking development, the State of Arkansas recently passed a statute of limitations reform law. Senate Bill 676 (the “Justice for Vulnerable Victims Of Sexual Abuse Act”) creates a “lookback window” that allows victims a limited period of time to seek civil justice. This important change in the law will help give victims the compensation they need to further their healing, as well as shining a light of the problem of systemic abuse in youth-serving organizations – making kids in Arkansas safe today.
Crew Janci is proud to be teaming up with our long-time collaborators at Green & Gillispie in Little Rock to continue our work advocating for victims of child sexual abuse against institutions that enabled and concealed abuse. Our colleagues and clients were instrumental in helping obtain this important change of law for abuse victims.
