Ohio Boy Scout Leader and EMT Alan Johnson Charged with Distributing Child Pornography and Sexual Abuse

A 23 year-old Boy Scouts leader and EMT was arraigned last week on charges of distributing child pornography via a peer to peer network under the username “ilovethis.”

West Carollton, Ohio resident, Alan Johnson, faces federal charges after his actions were discovered by via an investigation named “Operation Predator,” jointly-operated by the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, and several Ohio police task forces, including West Carollton and the Greater Cincinnati division of the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

According to a report by the Dayton Daily News, Johnson not only admitted to liking child pornography since he was 16, he also has sexually abused kids, admitting that he “had made contact with Scouts’ genitals between two and five times.”

Scout officials from the Miami Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America reportedly removed Johnson from their ranks as a result of the charges.
