Jeffrey GrahamTwo youth coaches were recently arrested after authorities say they each agreed to meet with a 14-year-old girl who turned out to be an undercover detective.

According to media reports, Jeffrey Graham, 51, of Milwaukie, and Sean Dotson, 49, of Forest Grove, communicated with detectives posing as an underage girl through Craigslist’s casual encounters section. Police posed as a 14-year-old girl skipping school and as a mother with a 13-year-old daughter in the ads.

Graham, who previously worked as a softball coach at Rex Putnam High School, reportedly responded to the ad by sending a nude photo. He also offered to drive to the 14-year-old’s home and park outside so she could watch him masturbate, according to court papers.

After his arrest, Graham told investigators he didn’t believe the girl when she said she was 14 and claimed he would not have exposed himself if the girl looked 14.

North Clackamas School District spokesman Joe Krumm confirmed Graham was a paid assistant coach at Rex Putnam for the 2014 and 2015 seasons, and was expected to return this spring before he was arrested. “We have directed him to have no contact with kids and no role in our schools,” Krumm told media m in an email Tuesday.

Dotson, the second coach arrested, worked as a coach for Banks Youth Soccer Association just last year. He reportedly sent messages asking if the girl watched porn. He also said he blindfolded and tied girls’ hands to a bed post, according to court documents.

Court papers show Dotson told the girl to send nude photos to prove she wasn’t part of law enforcement, the affidavit said. He reportedly showed up at the designated meeting spot with a condom in his pocket even though the nude photos were never sent. He told police he didn’t plan to have sex with the girl.

Both Graham and Dotson are charged with communicating with a minor for immoral purposes. Dotson is also faces accusations of attempted third-degree rape of a child.

Graham and Dotson appeared in Clark County Superior Court on Jan. 15, were released from custody and are next scheduled for Feb. 2 court appearances.

A third person arrested in the sting, Terrence D. Nelson, 56, of Washougal, Washington, allegedly offered to perform oral sex on the woman and her child. The conversation continued via text and the police texted Nelson an address to meet. Nelson was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of attempted second-degree rape of a child.

The court granted Graham and Dotson supervised releases. Nelson’s bail was set at $10,000.
