Boy Scouts File Lawsuit Against Insurance Companies For Failure to Pay Sexual Abuse Claims
The Boy Scouts of America have filed a lawsuit against International Insurance Company and General Star Indemnity Company for failure to cover the costs accrued in our 2010 Boy Scout sexual abuse case involving two of our clients were sexually assaulted by Oregon Scoutmaster Timur Dykes for a number of years in the early 1990s.
In their lawsuit, the Boy Scouts allege that during the discovery phase of the Dykes sexual abuse case, “it became clear that the abuse of Doe 7 and Doe 8 took place during the International and General Star policy periods.”
As a result of our success in the Dykes case, the Boy Scouts were forced to release some 1,200 pages of their so-called Perversion Files which our firm has uploaded to our website.
