Brother Robert Ryan (also known as “Brother Bob Ryan”) was a longtime teacher, administrator and school counselor at schools run by the Marist Brothers (or “Marist Brothers of the Schools”), a Catholic religious order.

Br. Ryan joined the Marists in 1951.  Between 1955 and 1992, Br. Ryan was assigned to numerous schools across the United States.  Although our investigation is continuing, evidence suggests that Br. Ryan may have been assigned to the following schools during the time period indicated:

1964–67: St. Agnes High School (New York, NY) — Teacher
1967–71: Marist High School (Chicago, IL) — Teacher

Br. Ryan was also known to be a long-time summer staff member at Camp Marist near Lake Ossipee in New Hampshire.

Br. Bob Ryan is the subject of multiple allegations of sexual misconduct towards children. The Marist Brothers deny having prior knowledge of the danger posed by Br. Robert Ryan.  We are investigating on behalf of victims and are interested in speaking to anyone who knew Br. Ryan.
